DOUBLE WEAVE MIXER

Position: Sicilian circle (couple facing couple around the hall).

Footwork: Opposite throughout, open position.

Measures
     1-4 BAL FWD; BAL BACK; SOLO TURN (away); TO FACE
     In open pos, couples bal fwd and back twd each other; drop
     hands and solo turn away (man LF, woman RF) from
     partner 3/4 to end facing COH or wall and a different
     couple   man join hands with woman on R who is
     momentarily his new partner.
     5-8 BAL FWD; BAL BACK; STAR THROUGH (with original
     partner).
     9-16 Repeat meas 1-8, except couples face opp direction from
     where they started. Star through again with original partner,
     to end in starting pos.
          17-20     STEP TO BANJO; APART; STEP TO SIDECAR; APART
     In butterfly pos with opp person, step to banjo pos (R hips
     together); step apart; step to sidecar pos (L hips together);
     step apart and drop hands.
          21-24     WEAVE   PASS R SHOULDERS (with opp); L
          SHOULDERS WITH NEXT; R SHOULDERS WITH
          NEXT
     Count the person you are facing as #1, pass 4 and take the
     fifth person.
          25-28     Repeat meas 17-20.
          29-32     Repeat meas 21-24, to end with original partner in
          open pos and facing a new couple.
