SONG

Did you ever see a Lassie, a Lassie, a Lassie.

Did you ever see a Lassie go this way and that?

Go this way and that way, go this way and that way,

Did you ever see a Lassie go this way and that?

ACTION

The children all sing the song. On the words “this way and that” the child in the center makes motions which the other children imitate as the words are repeated. She may pretend to be a swimmer, a tennis player, a horseback rider, a soldier, a basketball player, etc. or she may do a dance step or a gymnastic exercise. As the verse is finished, she quickly chooses a “Laddie” to take her place, and he may do anything he wishes except what she has done. He then chooses a “Lassie” and so on.
