Formation: Couples in a circle, facing LOD, boys on the inside, girls on the outside, inside hands joined.

Refrain (Sung at the beginning and after each verse.)

Verse 1. Gentlemen all do this way;

Then they all do this way.

Verse 2. Ladies all do this way;

Then they all do this way.

Verse 3. Soldiers all do this way;

ACTION

Refrain: All skip in LOD.

Verse 1. Partners face each other and make an elaborate bow, both bowing like men. Then move one place to the right and bow to a new partner. Keep this new partner for the refrain and the next verse.

Verse 2. Partners face each other and curtsy, boys mimicking the girls; then move to the right and repeat with new partner.

Verse 3. Partners salute each other; then move to the right to new partner and salute again.

Verse 4. All move arms as though flying. Move to right to new partner and repeat.
